Marc ProctorRealtor, Keller Williams Realty

Marc is excited to be participating with the High Desert Food and Farm Alliance team as of 2024; Marc values the impact of conversations with community partners towards the production of, and increased access to quality food.

An graduate of the OSU-Cascades Business Administration program in 2009, Marc understands Central Oregon business, and the uniquely segmented markets we live in. Marc has worked in varied industries in Central Oregon over the past several decades; Including logistics, product distribution, human resources, regional sales, career firefighting, and as a guitar luthier. On that note, it isn’t uncommon to find Marc involved in the local music and art scene. Marc earned his Masters in Business Administration in 2017, is currently working as a licensed real estate advocate, as an instructor in the Fire Science program at COCC, and as a Direct Support Professional with people identified as having intellectual or developmental disabilities. Marc is passionate about supporting folks in Central Oregon to find their full potential, and become valued members of their communities.

Advocating for the independence and empowerment of community is close to Marc’s heart, and he believes food is critical to that goal. Food security is so much more than having nutritious food available, it also acknowledges how food empowers culture, connection, and economy in ways nothing else can. These conversations matter to so many of us, in so many unique ways. The conversation includes Central Oregon’s culture of ranch and agriculture, with a long history of supplying local food, to the needs of a growing and dynamic community. Much informs ongoing conversations around “seed to table” efforts. Listening to the complexity of Central Oregon’s community is critical to developing enduring, and meaningful impact in peoples lives. Marc is looking forward to listening to the voices of Central Oregon, and applying his skillset to support HDFFA’s vision: “A prosperous food and farm network with equitable access for all Central Oregonians.”
