Join us at Sungrounded Farm for a Women for the Land Learning Circle, offered in partnership with the High Desert Food & Farm Alliance and American Farmland Trust in Terrebonne, Oregon.
This hands-on, peer learning gathering is designed for women and non-binary farmers and farm workers who want to deepen their knowledge, build community, and share practical strategies for cover cropping success in Central Oregon's high desert climate.
Together, we'll explore how to integrate cover cropping into high-intensity, diversified small-farm systems with a focus on arid climates. Farmers Ashley and Caleb will share their experience developing a cover cropping system that boosts organic matter, suppresses weeds, reduces tillage, and strengthens soil biology. See their methods in action and connect with other growers prioritizing soil health while managing tight cropping rotations in sandy soils.
A locally-sourced catered lunch will be provided. Registration is required.
