Join HDFFA for a Buyer/Seller Mixer at the Bend Farmers Market!
WHEN: June 10th at 10:30 AM
WHERE: In front of The Commons Cafe in Brooks Alley
WHY: Supporting lasting investments by Bend food trucks in our local food system
The High Desert Food & Farm Alliance is hosting a Buyer/Seller Mixer at the Downtown Bend Farmers Market, and would like you to be involved. We’re bringing together food truck vendors from around the city to engage with our most sustainable suppliers, providing you with one time funds and the opportunity to build valuable business relationships.
If you’d like to represent local farmers on your menus, help us invest in our local food system, and provide the freshest ingredients to your customers, please join us on Wednesday, June 10th at 10:30 in front of The Commons Cafe in Brooks Alley. RSVP required. RSVP by emailing agsupport@hdffa.org.
How it works:
Depending on the number of interested food truck vendors, HDFFA will provide $100-200 per attendee to purchase local ingredients. These can be used to create a brand new special or in one of your classics, as long as it shows off the market haul!
HDFFA will gather all participating vendors at The Commons thirty minutes before the start of market. We will provide coffee to everyone attending, offer this opportunity to market vendors to come say hello, and discuss recipes and opportunities for collaboration.
Once the market begins at 11, you can shop for your food truck using the provided market bucks. All vendors will know you’re coming and may be prepared with price sheets, business cards, and their best offers.
As a way to cross-promote local food at your food truck, all participants are expected to share posts featuring the dishes using ingredients purchased at the market through their social media outlets. Guidance from the HDFFA communication team will be forthcoming.
HDFFA is committed to building a sustainable food system in Central Oregon, and sees potential relationships between food trucks and local growers as a critical focus area. We hope you take advantage of this opportunity to build lasting connections with local food providers and deepen our food scene’s investment in local products.
