Your Local Food Connection: 2019 Food & Farm Directory Release May 3rd

The High Desert Food and Farm Alliance (HDFFA) will release their 2019 High Desert Food and Farm Directory on Friday, May 3rd. The Food & Farm Directory, now in its 8th year of production, is full of information to connect High Desert citizens and visitors with food that is grown, raised and produced in our region and the local family farmers, ranchers, and businesses that are committed to producing, purchasing, and providing local food to Central Oregon communities.

Check out Laurie, our Farm Support Coordinator, talking with Central Oregon Daily about the Directory!

Use the Food & Farm Directory to discover a dozen NEW farms, explore regional farmers markets, learn about the impact of our local food economy, get tips for eating seasonally, and more!  The directory is FREE, and can be found first in The Bulletin’s May 3rd edition or at FootZone Bend downtown during First Friday on May 3rd, from 5-7 p.m. Directories can also be found throughout the summer at HDFFA partner businesses who produce, process or purchase Central Oregon food; look for the identifying “2019 HDFFA Partner” sticker at participating businesses. A free online edition of the directory can also be found anytime at hdffa.org under “Find Local Food.”

“We have the opportunity to support our communities and our health three times a day, every time we eat, through the food choices we make. We hope this guide helps to connect you with your food origins and opportunities to eat closer to home.”
–Jess Weiland, Food & Farm Director
