Rachel grew up in New Jersey where her fondest memories involve large family gatherings always ending the same way: with aching bellies full of homemade food and laughter. After focusing on a degree in Food Systems and Education at The Evergreen State College, Rachel served as an AmeriCorps FoodCorps service member working with rural school districts to connect kids to healthy food in school. Food brings Rachel so much joy and enrichment into her life. Her life mission is increasing the accessibility of good food so all people can experience the joys it can bring. When not cooking, growing, or sharing food Rachel loves a good outdoor adventure especially those involving kayaking, cross country skiing, or camping, all with her pup in tow.
