Laurie WayneFarm Support Program Coordinator

Local food and farming is in Laurie’s blood – she acquired her growing chops from her grandfather, who maintained a two-acre Victory Garden in World War II. Laurie operated an organic farm and helped to start community gardens, food hubs, farmers markets, U-Pick farms, and more in the Pacific Northwest for the last 20 years. When she’s not working to grow supply and value chains in Central Oregon by connecting producers with eaters, Laurie can often be found riding her bike all over the world, hanging out with farmers, reading about food systems, or cooking up something healthy for friends.
