A native New Englander, Julie’s appreciation for local and seasonally available foods began at an early age with syrup tapped from her family’s maple trees and hand pressed apple cider from their tiny orchard. She loves that food has the ability to bring people together and she shares HDFFA’s belief that everyone deserves good food. 

Julie holds an A.A.S in Equine Science from the University of New Hampshire and a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science with a Sports Medicine concentration from Colorado State University.  Her mission to improve lives through solving complex problems has led her to a variety of professional experiences including emergency medicine, veterinary care, academic advising, and Human Resources. 

When she’s not at work, Julie can be found exploring trails near and far with her husband and their dog.
