Christine moved to Bend from Connecticut in 2019 with her wife, older rescue dog, and elder cat.
Recently retired from Public Health she is passionate about all things environmental and health-promoting. Knowing virtually no one (except our kind realtor) she jumped into volunteering, with HDFFA being one of the first connections. Can you say “gleaning”? The big discovery was the exceptional number of local farms and just what it takes to grow anything in the High Desert. Still learning and exploring, it has been a pleasure to become part of the HDFFA’s ever-growing programs and support system. She is passionate about being vegetarian, farming, food systems, homebuilding, and end-of-life work.
Hobbies include swimming, hiking, reading, and volunteering.
