Growing up in Dallas, Texas, Caroline found gardening to be the best way to express her wild side. Her fondest early memories are grazing snap peas in the elementary school garden and weeding with her grandmother in her backyard. Later, she worked for a non-profit where she found the beauty in connecting people with the planet and each other through food. She continued this type of work while studying Natural Resources at Colorado State University. Her passions for food justice and sustainable agriculture were solidified through her work with an organization promoting an environmentally and socially just food system in Fort Collins, Colorado. Currently, she can be found in Central Oregon biking with her dog, cooking with roommates, or enjoying a brew with bluegrass music.
