Amanda SchroederFarmers Conservation Alliance

Having lived in Bend for over 20 years, Amanda values supporting the community food system and community programs that connect Central Oregonians to opportunities and resources to promote a resilient local and regional food system. Her position with Farmers Conservation Alliance allows Amanda to work closely with irrigation communities throughout Oregon, Montana, and California to develop and manage large-scale modernization strategies that benefit both agriculture and the environment. Through her work, Amanda has seen the economic importance of investing in communities’ local food systems. Her desire to improve Central Oregonians’ food security and improve equitable access to locally grown food aligns closely with HDFFA’s mission.
