Supported CSA Press Coverage

HDFFA believes that everyone deserves good food -and fresh, locally grown produce is some of the best way to access nutritionally dense and healthy food. This year, the Supported CSA program was launched in an effort to support local producers with CSA programs and provide a route for limited income residents to have better access to these products through financial assistance and nutritional education.

The program garnered media attention after assisting 36 individuals and families that utilize SNAP/EBT sign up with Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares. This amounts to $12,000 in funds distributed to eight farms throughout the Bend, Sisters, Redmond, and Prineville areas, with potentially more signups being confirmed in the next couple of weeks!
