Mobile Food Pantry- Fresh To You

In order to address barriers to access to fresh, healthy foods in rural areas, HDFFA and NeighborImpact partnered to purchase a mobile food pantry that drives to regions that have limited access.  Communities were chosen based upon the greatest need to improve food access and food security such as lack of food pantries or limited number of grocery stores.

HDFFA believes everyone deserves good food. We support approaches that address the root causes of one of our biggest challenges, food insecurity – the state of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.  Accessing fresh, healthy food can be difficult for individuals who have barriers such as limited income, living in remote areas or lack of transportation options.

HDFFA partnered with NeighborImpact to bring a mobile food pantry to people experiencing hunger.  Called “Fresh To You,” the mobile pantry carries healthy meal-building staples including fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy, grains and more. Check NeighborImpact for updated schedule and locations.
