Volunteer Management

The annual Fill Your Pantry event is not possible without our dedicated volunteers. VeggieRx Veteran’s Program at FYP

In conjunction with Fill Your Pantry, VeggieRx for Veterans will do one more produce dispersion with 50 participants. With help from the Veterans Health Association and volunteers 20 homebound participants will be delivered food kits, others will pick up onsite in Redmond or at an additional site in Prineville. Kits contain over $100 worth of food and including pantry staples like potatoes, onions, carrots, squash, garlic, apples, pears as well as chicken or beef. We aim to help participants access and increase intake of fresh locally sourced food and stock up before the winter.

HDFFA’s involvement with Fill Your Pantry is funded through the USDA Community Food Project.
