LOAFA has been taking place for over 30 years and each year around 200 participants attend to learn new skills and how to do the most with their small farm. At the Living on a Few Acres Conference participants come to together to learn research-based techniques for land stewardship, skills for raising livestock, approaches for farm efficiencies and production.
The conference will have at least 6 concurrent sessions with a total of 24 possible class choices for participants. Workshop topics range from hoophouse construction and exploring marketing channels to raising chickens, intro to farm dogs, and best practices for irrigation management. A tradeshow will introduce landowners to local vendors encouraging networking and shopping with our local businesses.
