High Desert Food Trail Workshop, Session 2: Building the High Desert Food Trail

The High Desert Food and Farm Alliance, in partnership with Travel Oregon and a local steering committee, will host a two-part Food Trail Development Workshop this May for the Central Oregon region. This region includes the communities within Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties and the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.

During this workshop, participants will explore how their community can enhance its local culinary and agricultural tourism industry by developing an Oregon Food Trail. This is registration for Session 2 that will cover the following topics:

Session 2: Building the High Desert Food Trail
Monday, May 17, 12-2 p.m.

  • Oregon Food Trail design and development.
  • Leveraging collaborative product development and future strategies to increase visitation and economic return for culinary & agritourism businesses on the trail.

Owners and operators of farms, guest ranches or agriculture-focused businesses, artisan food producers, community leaders, public agencies, industry associations, tourism entrepreneurs, tour operators, lodging property owners, craft beverage producers, restauranteurs and anyone with an interest in strengthening the local culinary & agritourism economy through the development of a Central Oregon regional food trail is invited to participate in the program. The program is designed specifically for businesses and organizations operating in Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties.

Please note that attendees must register separately for Session 1.
