On February 13th, The Bulletin published an article highlighting the importance of local agriculture and CSA programs here in Central Oregon.
The article, penned by Suzanne Roig, quoted Annie Nichols, Agriculture Support Manager, about the significance of staying local and investing in our Central Oregon producers. It highlights some of the producers that offer CSA share programs, like Lauren Rasmussen at Fibonacci Farms and Benji Nagel from Mahonia Gardens, showing the variety of options when it comes to signing up for a CSA. It also discusses how receiving local produce can change a consumer’s diet and relationship to their food -creating a unique connection to the land, the farmer, and their food.
